Robert Henderson
MA Clinical Mental Health Counseling Student| Wayne State University
EMDR trained

I am a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern. At Wayne State, I completed my Masters of Arts with concentration in clinical mental health counseling as my main focus to promote mental and emotional well-being. I gained experience in individual counseling sessions and group facilitation where I provided a safe and non-judgmental space for those looking for

support and guidance. My approach is collaborative, with personalized treatment helping facilitate healing and growth for clients.

I believe every client is unique. Our sessions are tailored to you, and will strive to meet your needs in a warm and supportive environment. Through unconditional positive regard, genuineness, and compassion,

together we can begin your journey towards self-discovery. I specialize in treatment with clients struggling with trauma and emotional issues, life transition and stress, relationship issues, and behavioral issues. I

integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Existential Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Client-Centered Therapy into our sessions to focus on your own specific goals. My goal is to support meaningful, lasting change to help build emotional resilience. In our first session, we will go through an intake process where we discuss your presenting problems, talk about your history, establish goals, and complete a treatment plan that fits your style. By working together, we can identify thoughts, behaviors, and feelings about your issues and develop knowledge that will provide you with the tools for an improved quality of life.

Starting in July, I will be offering a structured 4-6 session grief therapy group which will be part educational and part experiential, to be performed in cohorts. I will also be offering ongoing group therapy focused on group processing and support during times of grief.

Both groups are held in-person at the Rochester location.

Please contact our office to be added to the list of participants. Group start dates are announced when enough participants have signed up.

Many people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to begin—whether facing anxiety, burnout, performance pressure, relationship challenges, life changes, or career uncertainty. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and able to show up as you are. My approach is flexible and responsive rather than rigid or agenda driven. I believe meaningful progress happens when therapy is guided by what feels most important to you in the moment. By staying present and attuned, I aim to foster a natural, grounded, and collaborative process. Together, we will work to deepen self-awareness, identify strengths, and develop practical tools that align with your values and support lasting change. Nanci utilizes a variety of modalities and designs each individual treatment plan with a focus to match specific needs and goals.

Nanci Robinson, LLPC, CADC

I am dedicated to helping individuals heal and grow through personalized therapeutic care. I specialize in providing therapy to patients aged 15 and older, utilizing a range of evidence-based approaches including Psychodynamic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Humanistic Therapy, and mindfulness-based techniques.

My experience includes working with individuals who struggle with addiction, anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, and self-harm. I believe that early childhood trauma and dysfunctional family experiences are often stored in our bodies and can create dysregulated emotional, physical, and behavioral responses that greatly impact our quality of life and relationships. These stored experiences manifest in our daily lives, influencing how we feel, think, and behave.

I am here to help guide you through your healing journey, creating a safe space for you to process past traumas, build healthier coping mechanisms, and develop a stronger sense of self. My goal is to empower you to lead a life that feels happier, more joyful, and free - personally and professionally. With the right support, everyone has the potential to heal, grow, and create a life of purpose and meaning.

Let us work together to navigate your path to wellness and rediscover the courage and intuition that lives within you. I look forward to meeting you!

Destiny Albrecht-Hornung
M.S., LLPC

Welcome-I’m glad you’re here! I’m Destiny, a Limited Licensed Professional Counselor (LLPC) dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate life’s challenges with clarity, resilience, and compassion.

Does your child or teen struggle with anxiety, ADHD, OCD, big emotions, anger, low self-esteeem, or difficulty managing emotions or impulses? Children and teens experience unique challenges in today’s ever-changing society. The use of social media, technology, and changes within society, friend groups, and family present youth with challenges that can be difficult to navigate. Watching your child or teen struggle can be heartbreaking. Whether they are having a difficult time adjusting, school difficulties, or family changes, these challenges do not have to be faced alone. Therapy provides a safe space to navigate challenges, process information, build confidence, and develop healthy coping skills.

Every child and teen is unique. My approach is tailored to each individual person’s strengths, needs, and personality. Sessions are designed to create an environment where each person feels safe and welcomed, and where they are free to express themselves without judgement. I work with children, teens and families to improve communication, emotional regulation and develop healthy thought patterns and coping skills.

I believe every child deserves to feel heard, understood, and accepted. Therapy is about helping individuals build resilience, discover their strengths, and develop skills they need to thrive. You don’t have to figure it out alone. Seeking help for your child or teen is a courageous step. Whether your child or family is navigating anxiety, emotional challenges, trauma, school stress, or life transitions, support is available. Together, we can help navigate challenges and build skills needed for a healthier, happier future.

My approach to therapy heavily relies on a strong therapeutic alliance. I believe meaningful progress happens when you feel safe, understood, and supported. From our very first session, I prioritize building a connection where you can show up authentically and feel truly met. During the intake, we explore your goals, boundaries, and what you’re hoping to change. Together, we create a collaborative treatment plan that reflects your needs, your pace, and your vision for growth. Since I take a trauma-informed approach, my style is highly introspective and reflective. I help clients look beyond the immediate problem to identify deeper patterns, blind spots, and root causes that influence their daily struggles. By examining your background, lived experiences, and values, we bring clarity to what has been holding you back. We begin building pathways toward healthier patterns and lasting change. I utilize consistent check-ins and feedback opportunities so you always feel aligned with the process and confident that therapy is meeting your needs. While the work can be deep and exploratory, I also focus on solutions, results, and practical strategies that you can apply between sessions. Each appointment is designed to leave you with insight, tools, and a tangible sense of progress. You can expect a space that is warm, nonjudgmental, and centered on your growth. My goal is for you to walk away from therapy feeling more grounded, more self-aware, and more equipped to navigate life with clarity and confidence.

I have experience with individuals struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, self-image issues, adjustment, etc.

About

Andrew Tarockoff
LPC, NCC, CCTP, ACS
EMDR Certified, Approved Clinical Supervisor

I specialize in the treatment of trauma with EMDR, however I frequently help individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, substance use issues, codependent tendencies, behavioral issues, anger, personality disturbances, relationship problems and more. I also provide supervision to LLPC's.

My structure for therapy is focused on bringing results and relief to clients at a pace that fits their needs. An intake appointment will be an exploration of therapy boundaries and rehabilitative directions, then we’ll gather a comprehensive assessment of the client’s presentation, needs, and goals. The client and I build their treatment plan together. Client involvement is integral to effective treatment, which is why I place special importance on building effective therapeutic objectives. I clearly explain them and validate the client’s desire to work on these goals. From that point I work to meet each client where they’re at, to process issues they present in the session and to gently direct toward their long-term goals. You can be sure to walk away with new skills and strategies that improve your ability to cope with distress, understand yourself, and find happiness and clarity.
